<p>昨天參加 Nimble Storage Seminar之後的一點想法</p>
|
|
|
|
|
|
<p>能不能用大量的記憶體配合一些SSD再加上 SATA硬碟，做出一個混合式的儲存空間提供給VDI使用？</p>
|
|
|
|
|
|
<p>inline compression zfs 本來就有</p>
|
|
|
|
|
|
<p>只是不曉得nimble 怎麼把讀寫分流SSD Cache/ SATA 硬碟上..</p>
|
|
|
|
|
|
<p> </p>
|
|
|
|
|
|
<p>ZIL:簡單一點說，就是寫入的cache ，改變先寫入到ZIL，由ZIL回覆AP說寫入OK，AP就可以繼續其他行程。</p>
|
|
|
|
|
|
<p>有點錯誤，因為ZIL實際上是 “journal” ，檔案的寫入是先記錄在日誌上，再寫入到檔案系統</p>
|
|
|
|
|
|
<p>所以藉著改變這個檔案系統的載體(就是磁碟機啦)的型態(從傳統硬碟到固態硬碟)</p>
|
|
|
|
|
|
<p>就可以提升寫入的效能，但是ZIL有可能會毀損，所以大部分都建議也要做個保護 (mirror)</p>
|
|
|
|
|
|
<p>zpool create pool_name log mirror /dev/sda1 /dev/sda2</p>
|
|
|
|
|
|
<p>ARC: Read 快取，放在RAM中 ，</p>
|
|
|
|
|
|
<p>/boot/loader.conf vm.kmem_size</p>
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
|
|

<p>FreeBSD 7.2+ has improved kernel memory allocation strategy and no tuning may be necessary on systems with more than 2 GB of RAM.</p>
